{October} Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. Have you check your ‘girls’?
I’ll start my blog with a quote from Mother Teresa: “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love”.
Through out my life, I have known 2 ladies who lost the battle of breast cancer. I briefly learned 2 things: 1. cancer cells can be killed slowly by eating vegetables. 2. Breast cancer can recur.
My heart to those who are fighting the cancer. Be STRONG and keep your HOPE up. GIVING UP is not an option.
From my end, the little things I can do for my family is to provide healthy food and teach my daughter to always have Hope, Courage, Faith, Love and Strength.
Other little things we all can do are raising Breast Cancer Awareness and hosting a fundraising whether it’s for a charitable organization that supports breast cancer research, or to give directly to patient’s family.
Here are few easy and not so common breast cancer fundraising ideas …

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. It is the second leading cause of death among women. Each year it is estimated that over 220,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will die. Although breast cancer in men is rare, an estimated 2,150 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and approximately 410 will die each year. {quoted from National Breast Cancer Org}.
Please remind yourself and your love ones to check her/his breasts regularly and to schedule a screening mammogram. Early detection can safe a life.
For us who are perfectly healthy, let’s CHERISH our live and never take it for granted. Have a wonderful week.
Share the love, share PINK.
