{How To} Dripping cake
Cake in the freezer + Left over silk flowers + already made icings = DRIPPING CAKE
It was an expected beauty that happened in 1 hour.
Dripping cake is the trend nowadays, I’s very easy to make. I would say this cake is for Beginner level with professional result 🙂
First, Ice your cake. You can ice it fully, or partially to create the natural look.
Second, prepare the DRIPPING.
The DRIPPING is made of candy melts and heavy cream, but whole milk will do.
For 6″ cake, 150 gr candy melts and 2-3 Tablespoon milk. { If you think it’s too thick, you can add more milk }.
Heat in microwave for 33 seconds increment, low heat {30-40} setting. Stir well, repeat as necessary.
Let it cool until the mixture is still pour-able.
Third, Pour the mixture on top of Cake. Flatten with spatula as necessary. If you don’t have spatula, just use the back of your knife, or anything straight.
Let the mixture drip on the side and kinda guide the flow to assemble dripping. If you want it to be perfect, put mixture in a zip lock bag and snip the corner.
Squeeze a little bit on the edge of your cake and let it drip.
Forth, Decorate your cake with whatever you have… Use flowers, ice cream cone, sprinkles, candy, kitkat…name it. Have fun and be wild!!!
EASY right ?
My mistake on this cake is…The Dripping is too thin so it doesn’t hold its shape. But the beauty is there’s nothing right or wrong here….they are all correct, every flaw is a new form of art 🙂
