{Savannah} Pony Tales at Magnolia Farm
Before the weather gets too crazy, Savannah and I decided to spend our Saturday for horseback riding at Magnolia Farm. We got special from Groupon: Up to 50% off entry to Pony Tales at Camp Magnolia in Alpharetta, Georgia.
We got there at 10 AM and the actual horseback riding didn’t start till around 11.
However, there were plenty activities available while waiting.
1. Taking pictures and more pictures.
2. Catching falling leaves … Kids don’t need much to have fun. They appreciate little things around them.
3. Making wool ball beads.
4. Playing with rabbits
5. Making beads necklaces or bracelets
6. Sheep sheering {cancelled}
The shack on the left is where the rabbits, self entertain puppet show and craft activities for the kids.
Picture below is Savannah making her first wool ball beads. There were several colors wool batt / roving to choose from. You only need about 4-5″ long to make 1″ wool ball. Then dip it into soapy water and roll it till you get a ball shape. Air dry afterwards.
7. Petting and brushing goats
And finally it was Savannah’s turn to ride the horse but as always ‘Picture first’.
8. Reading some books about Pony Tales.
And finally, Meet Max the horse…
It was Savannah’s turn to ride. And Yes she was on a horse not a pony …
Last but not least, after all the kids got their turn in the saddle. They got to paint the horse. Fun fun fun.
We ended up staying there for 3 hours and were the last one who left. A Saturday morning well spent.
If you live around the area and is interested, get your deals on Groupon or Magnolia Farm.
Happy November !
