{Savannah} A day at the Pumpkin Patch
This was our 3rd year in a row that we visited Berry Patch Farms for pumpkin patch. The farm is located in Woodstock, Georgia {30 miles north of Atlanta}.
If you haven’t been to this farm, this post will help you see with pictures what they are like.
The entrance to the pumpkin patch is free but parking is $3.
Behind this pretty pink barn were ‘farm animals’ (separated by fence) such as goats, chicken, pigs and who knew what else cause we didn’t get near them. It was very stinky.
Savannah was pinching her nose the whole time but managed to pose as natural as she could for the sake of pictures. Then, we ran as fast as we could.
This is the photo props they provided but the location is just not right for picture taken, unless it’s a cloudy day.
Tractor-pulled hayride is fun for Savannah last year but not to thrilling for her age now. There is no additional fee for the hayrides.
The rides went around the farm and half way you had the option to stop for Pony-ride { $5 } and another Picture booth.
We didn’t stop …
Our last stop was at the pumpkin patch. It was kinda busy but I managed to make all the people disappear with my Photoshop skills 🙂
I am not sure if they grow some of the pumpkins, or if they are all brought in from somewhere else but the experience is the same. Kids don’t mind, they just want to run around looking for the perfect pumpkin out in the field.
Savannah perfect pumpkin was a tiny yellow one that we just put on the ground while taking pictures but another boy took it and we couldn’t find the second best.
We walked back to the farm entrance where you pay for your pumpkins and get some food. They sell Apple pies which always sold out, hot dogs, home made pumpkin ice cream, cotton candy, boiled peanuts and pop corns. There was a face painting booth. Price starts from $2.
We decided to chilax {chill and relax} by the shade while enjoying our cotton candy { $3 per bag }. I have to admit their cotton candy is good.
The wooden playground was the happiest place for the Savannah. No matter how hot it was, she didn’t care. Just play and play.
At first, there were Savannah and this boy on the tire swing but not so long.
4 other girls joined and I didn’t remember what happened to that boy.
Savannah and her school friend, Holland. What a coincidence 2 girls were wearing whites and 3 girls were wearing blacks.
Savannah wasn’t ready to leave. Can’t you see her expression ?
Overall we enjoy our visit and looking forward to coming back for Blue Berry picking next year…
Thanks for viewing all Savannah’s pictures. Mommy just can’t stop taking pictures.
